How to puree a pumpkin:
1. Cut the pumpkin in quarters and remove the seeds.
2. Place pumpkins in 1/2-inch of water in a baking pan. This helps the pumpkins flesh remain moist.
3. Bake at 450-degrees for about 45-minutes, or until you can pierce the skin with a fork. Let it cool.
4. Scoop the flesh out of the shell with a spoon and puree it in a blender or food processor.
I wanted to post this because I found a few recipes to make awesome exfoliates for your face and the base of these instructions all involve the pumpkin puree. The goal for myself is to have the most natural products possible, so I thought that it was only fitting to use fresh pumpkin puree rather than from a can.
